OMS Montessori is seeking a dedicated and energetic Montessori Assistant for a Toddler classroom, beginning as soon as possible. We are a leading non-profit Montessori school, with an enrolment of over 280 students from Toddler through High School. The Assistant’s hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..
The Toddler environment is well-equipped with core Montessori materials and has a Montessori Lead Teacher and two Assistants. Well-qualified candidates must hold a RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator) certification or equivalent and have experience working with children, display a strong commitment to team work, and possess a strong sense of professionalism.
Applicants should have a deep respect for children, a positive attitude and kind heart, flexibility, and a good sense of humor. Montessori training is not necessary, though familiarity with the Montessori philosophy and a strong desire to support the Director/ress in its implementation is imperative.

OMS Montessori is seeking two dedicated and energetic Montessori Guides for a bilingual Casa class (one English speaking Guide and one French speaking Guide), beginning September 2019. We are a leading non-profit Montessori school, celebrating our 53 rd anniversary this year, located in the heart of a residential neighbourhood in Ottawa. The Guides’ hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are four currently four other Casa classes in our close community of approximately 300 students from Toddler to High School. We have a warm, collegial atmosphere with over 50 caring, experienced staff who are deeply committed to Montessori principles. The salary will be based on education, training and experience.
Requirements include Montessori Casa (Primary) certification, experience working with children 3 – 6 years of age, excellent communication skills and the desire and ability to work as part of a team.
